Howdy: We took a four day weekend, rented a car, and drove south for a Rotorua weekend. We took over 450 photos and we have 60 video minutes to edit. The short report: we are cold again! This is the warmer north, but #7's only heat is the single fireplace in the great room.
Rotorua is colder, but we were warmer overall. We needed our parkas there; however, the rental car has heat and the hotel rooms have central heat. We got a break from the cold each night and while driving.
Here at Waiheke, the cold is not severe, but it is constant.
